Listening is already an act of remembering
By participating, you contribute to a collective research process and to the creation of a living sound atlas of the world.
Authenticity and Provenance
To preserve the scientific integrity of the project, it is essential that:
• The songs, poems, or spoken narratives submitted are genuinely rooted in the region indicated.
• The sounds shared are recorded or transmitted with respect for the originating communities, without appropriation or alteration.
Before being published, all contributions are reviewed and contextualized by the Audioclopedia team and by specialists in ethnomusicology.
Rights and Consent
Contributors agree to:
• Submit only materials they have the right to record and share, or for which they have obtained explicit consent from the persons involved.
• Mention, whenever possible, the names of performers, narrators, or collectors.
• Uphold the ethical values of the project: transparency, respect, and the non-commercial use of collected data.
Recordings published on Audioclopedia are shared for educational, cultural, and research purposes, and may not be used commercially without prior agreement.
